We got lucky in the grand scheme of things. Federal offices were closed Monday and Tuesday, which left most of the city twiddling there thumbs staring out the window. Lots of trees down, but luckily electricity stayed on in most of the city. Halloween was not cancelled. Grocery stories were cleaned out of water and non-perishables by Saturday night. Funny enough, most of the alchohal was also sold out.... definitely Hurricane Parities in DC.
